This year, the video category of the World Cosplay Summit (WCS) is back and changing its name to the World Cinematic Cosplay Summit (WCCS).
What is WCCS?
This competition determines the world’s best cosplay performance in video work. It is a new form of cosplay enjoyment that spreads through video, offering a different way to showcase cosplay than on-stage performances. Being held as a different competition from the World Cosplay Summit every August,
the winning team in the online streaming format will also be invited to the World Cosplay Summit.
Basic Rules
- Entry must be made by a pair (two persons) of the same nationality.
- Cosplay video works must be less than 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
- Costumes do not have to be entirely handmade.

WCCS Championship
The winners of the Belgian Preliminary will represent Belgium in the WCCS Championship in May 2024, with the team crowned Global Champion being invited to the 2024 World Cosplay Summit in Nagoya, Japan.
Application information
Entries will be due to be submitted by 11:59 pm (CET) April 28, 2024.
List of documents to be provided on the application form
- Copy of passport for each participant
- Reference image of the cosplayed characters for each participant
- Full-length photo of front and back in costume for each participant
- Dialogue file and timecode
- Screenshots of open work files from software (editing, mixing, sfx, etc.)
- Your video performance
